At last Nayantara and Surya pair up in K.S Ravikumar’s film.The yet to be titled movie is Udayanidhi Stalin’s second venture after Kuruvi. The shoot will start some time in December, after Surya completes Ayan and Nayanthara finishes her current assignments, Aegan and Villu. The fine pair of Surya- Nayan with AR Rahman is likely to provide music under hit maker KS Ravikumar’s direction, which will make this one of the hottest projects in the trade.Nayantara had also signed up Lingusamy’s film where her hero is Surya’s younger brother, Karthi.

                       Vande Matharam, the movie which has been made with a whopping budget of 14 crores, will be released on the first week of July. The film is being made in Tamil and Malayalam simultaneously. In Tamil Vande Matharam is named Aruvadai.

                       The film has a big star cast. Mammootty and Arjun play the lead roles. The film has two heroines, Sneha and Sharadha Arya. Rajan P. Dev, Jagadheesh, Jai Akash, Raj Kapoor, Riyaz Khan and Subair are also in the cast. The songs are written by Gireesh Puthencheri and Sharatchandra Varma and are set to tunes by Vidyasagar.

                        The film is produced by Henry under the banner of Pankaj productions and is directed by T. Aravind. Cinematography is handled by Vetty.

                        The story of Vande Matharam revolves around a group of military officers protecting the country from infiltrations of a terrorist organisation.

                                    Renjith is planning to make a sequel to one of his earlier films, but in the scripts of another big name in Malayalam - Renji Panikkar. The giants in the scriptwriting field is planning to come together to make a film on the character of Nanda Gopal Maarar, the guest role that Mammootty did in the super hit Mohanlal film ‘Narasimham‘. As per the initials details, Renji Panikkar who did a story based on this character, told about this to Renjith, the original scripter of ‘Narasimham‘.

Renjith who got interested in the storylines immediately agreed to direct the film. The film will be an investigative thriller, which will start its shooting after the completion of the full scripts.

This seems to be the season of remakes across the country. Just about everybody is busy trying to either remix an old song or remake an old film.

After the remake of ‘Billa’, the latest film to be remade in Tamil is the old K Balachander hit ‘Kaadhalikka Neramillai’. The lead roles in this film are going to be played by Prithviraj and Asin. There had been times in the past when Asin was offered films to star with Prithviraj. But she wasn’t that keen on it. This time, the story seems to have impressed her a lot.

This, coupled with the fact that she now has callsheets to spare, has made her Prithviraj’s heroine.

Though he was very careful to not create an image for himself in Tamil, Prithviraj has ended up with one- he is now considered to be the most promising actor to play romantic and soft roles!
