Though after movies like Annan Thambi-Laksmi got a lil bit fatty, now shes back to her slim slim style with her latets relase in Malayalam-2Harihar nagar. In 2 Harihar nagar she played the role of a smart sexy anti heroine role which got a lot of attention. I wish Laksmi Rai a great success in bollywood too.

Ashokavanam is an upcomin Tamil movie.It will direct Mani Ratnam,starring Vikram and Aishwarya Rai.The film is currently in its production stage.This will release in Hindi as Raavan.Abhishek Bachen is the main actor in Hindi version.Madhavan will play a guest role in the film.Prakash Raj and Priyamani are other main cast in Ashokavanam.The film is currently in its production stage.

The latest news is that fans will be able to see this magnum opus only in April. Ashutosh Gowariker’s back is not getting any better and what with the post production work still remaining, the team will be able to make a final print only in March. But they cannot release it because of the exams of children during the period. So it will have to be either April or May. Well, patience has its virtues they say. Lets hope the jinx subsides and the film sees the light of the day and reaches where it is destined to reach. We pray for a speedy recovery for Ashutosh too.

Priyadarshan wants to direct Amitabh Bachchan for one of the story ideas he has in mind. But he denies any development on the project and rubbishes the rumours that say that the film is titled Assasin and is a remake of the Hollywood classic The Day of The Jackal.
Says Priyadarshan, �It is true I want Amitji to play a principal role in my film. But nothing is finalized. I still haven�t approached him for the role yet, forget he asking for the script. And my movie is not �The Day of The Jackal� but something different. Just the idea came from there�.
Priyadarshan has earlier directed Amitabh Bachchan in ad films but not in a feature film yet.

 

Bhool Bhulaiya is the Hindi language remake of the critically acclaimed 1993 Malayalam blockbuster, Manichitrathazhu directed by Fazil (which was also remade in Kannada - Aaptamitra, 2004 ; Tamil/Telugu - Chandramukhi, 2005). Bhool Bhulaiya will feature Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja and Amisha Patel in pivotal roles with Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav in supporting roles. Pritam will score the music whilst S. Theeru and N. Gopalakrishnan handle the cinematography and editing of the film, respectively
Vidya Balan plays Shiney Ahuja’s wife and will be enacting the role immortalised by Shobhana in malayalam. Shobhana had won the national award for her role and its pitted to be one of the best roles by any female lead ever. They are returning to his village for the first time after their marriage. The movie is about how a mystery surronds the palace which they move into.

Bhool Bhulaiya tells the story of a young couple arriving at the ancestral mansion. Ignoring the protests of their superstitious uncle, they move in to mansion, when unusual and supernatural events begin to happen. The couple’s close friend, a psychiatrist is called in to investigate.

Rani Mukherjee will be doing Mani Ratnam’s next film! It is almost certain that she will be working with him for second time after Yuva . What’s more, Rani Mukherjee will have to romance with the king of South Indian films – superstar Rajnikant.

Mani Ratnam normally maintains secrecy about his projects and doesn’t spill the beans until they get ready for release. But this time, he could not keep it a secret that he is doing his next film with Superstar Rajnikant. Recently, the popular trio of Tamil personalities – Rajnikant, Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan – met and discussed the possibility of making a film together. According to sources, Kamal Haasan came forward to produce the film with Rajnikant as the leading hero. Mani Rathnam will be directing for Kamal’s production company.

Although Kamal denied this, insiders say the project is on and will soon take-off. Now comes the question of who gets the honor of doing the female lead in this ambitious project! Well, the name that is being discussed, according to sources close to Mani Ratnam’s camp, is none other than the gorgeous Rani Mukharjee.

Not only the fact that she has a good rapport with Mani Ratnam and had acted in his film but also the fact that helps in her favour is that Rajnikant has for long been wishing to act with Rani Mukherjee. In fact, director Shankar also wanted to cast her in Sivaji – The Boss but she could not adjust bulk dates.

So if everything goes well, Rani will be in this mighty film. This is the second time that Mani Ratnam and Rajnikant will be working together after their hugely successful and critically acclaimed film – Dalapathy , based on the Karna episode of Mahabharat.

Before Madhuri Dixit’s Aaja Nachle will come the Rani Mukherjee, Abhishek Bachchan starrer Laaga Chunari Mein Daag directed by Pradeep Sarkaar of Parineeta fame.

Rani Mukherjee is playing middle class girl who takes on to prostitution in Yash Raj’s Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. Laaga Chunari Mein Daag is directed by Pradeep Sarkar. After some controversy regarding the title, Yash Raj Films, changed title of Laaga Chunari Mein Daag to Laaga Chunari Mein Daag…The Journey Of A Woman.

Also starring in the film are Kunal Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma , Jaya Bachchan and Anupam Kher. Let’s wait and watch whether Pradeep Sarkaar can create the same magic of Parineeta with his second film Laaga Chunari Mein Daag.
